Position Summary

The Store Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and making sure it meets the critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The Store Manager is responsible for ensuring the principles of I.M.P.A.C.T. are adhered to. The Store Manager is also responsible for hiring and developing Assistant Store Managers and Shift Supervisors to help build a culture that results in positive, team-oriented, and guest driven environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directs the daily operation of the restaurant.
  • Ensures timely reporting and compliance with company standards in all areas of operation including product preparation and delivery, customer service, maintenance and repair, labor, employee reviews, and inventory management.
  • Ensures prompt friendly service according to company guidelines.
  • Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring the best candidates for the right positions. 
  • Motivates and trains team members to increase efficiency and skill level. 
  • Creates schedules and provides operational direction to meet the needs of the business while maintaining financial responsibility. 
  • Responsible for timely and accurate completion of all cash accountability reports.
  • Ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints by self and staff. Refers all verbal and written guest complaints to Compliance Officer. 
  • Sets goals and expectations for team members, aligning performance and incentives, managing performance issues, and holding team accountable for results.
  • Maintains effective safety and security programs according to company policy and government standards.
  • Promotes and manages restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Communicates with other managers daily through management log and shift change meetings.
  • Participates in weekly Store Leadership Meetings.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly store and follows COVID-19 standard sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures. 
  • Completes all other assigned duties and responsibilities.

 Minimum Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a fast paced, high volume, customer service-oriented business preferably in a food service or retail setting.
  • 3+ years prior management experience required.
  • United States citizenship.
  • Must have open availability including weekends and holidays. 
  • Must be a resident of the State of Illinois within 90 days of date of hire.
  • Must have reached 21 years of age or older at the time of application submission.
  • Must be able to obtain a ServSafe and City of Chicago manager’s certification recognized by the State of Illinois within 30 days of employment.
